NECO 2021 RESULT FOR SSCE CANDIDATES
NECO 2021 result is out! The National Examination Council (NECO) on Friday announced the release of the long-awaited NECO 2021 results. The SSSCE examination held nationwide in July 2021.
The registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Dantali Wushishi, announced this while addressing newsmen in Minna, Niger state.
He said that out of 1,233,631 candidates who registered for the NECO 2021 examination; 1,226,631 actually sat for the examination.
Furthermore, he explained that 945,853 candidates obtained five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics, while 1,094,291 candidates also obtained five credits and above irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.
Wushishi said that the number of candidates who made five credits and above including English and Mathematics was 878,925. This represents 71.64 percent when compared with 2020 SSCE figures of 894,101. This he said was 73.89 percent, with a 2.2 percent decrease.
He further explained that the number of candidates who made five credits and above irrespective of English language and Mathematics was 1,226,796. This He said represents 94.04 percent when compared with 2020 SSCE internal figures of 1,112,041 of 91.9 percent.
When questioned about the level of malpractice. Wushishi said that candidates involved in various forms of malpractices in 2021 were 20,003. This he said represents 1.63 percent, whereas 33,470 representing 2.63 percent cases were recorded in 2020. This shows a drastic reduction, we will really say!
The registrar reiterated the council’s zero tolerance for examination malpractices. Further stating that appropriate standards and excellence was maintained right from the planning stage to the release of the NECO 2021 results.
Moreover, the reduction in the level of malpractices was a result of deepened monitoring of the examination by members of the governing board, management, and senior staff of the council, he concludes. See the links below to check your result!
