This good News is for you! The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) have announced the registration date for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry Examination (DE).
The Director of Public Relations, Dr. Fabian Benjamin made this known in the weekly bulletin released on the 24th January, 2022. In the line of events attached to the bulletin, the board, however, announced that the UTME/DE registration starts 19th February, 2022 and ends 26th March, 2022. Candidates who registered early and desire to take the mock examination, it will hold on the 16th April, 2022. He further said the main Jamb 2022 examination will hold from 6th to 16th May, 2022. The body furthermore, attributed the delay in the commencement of the registration to circumstance beyond the control of the board.

TWO ADDITIONAL SUBJECTS TO THE UTME SUBJECTS
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has added two additional subjects to the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) subjects. The two additional subjects are: Computer Science and Physical and Health Education. Before now, there were, however, 23 UTME subjects. This addition, makes the total subjects open for registration to 25 subjects, Therefore, the board said the addition of this subjects will commence from the Jamb 2022 registration exercise. Furthermore, candidates sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now pick Computer Studies and Physical and Health Education as part of their four (4) UTME subjects. That is, if they so desire or as dictated by their course preferences.
Above all, the Director, Public Relation, Dr. Fabian, said these two additional subjects will enhance the prospect of students transiting to tertiary institutions. At present, the 23 UTME subjects are: Agricultural Science, Arabic, Arts, Biology, Chemistry, Christain Religious Studies (CRK), Commerce, Economics, French, Geography, Hausa, Government, History, Home Economics, Igbo, Islamic Studies, Literature-in- English, Physics, Musics, Principles of Accounts, Use of English and finally Yoruba.
In summary, Candidates should note that the registration for the 2022 JAMB UTME examination, will commence in from February 19 and will end on March 26, 2022. The Mock examination will be on the 16th of April, 2022 and finally, the examination will hold on the 6th to 16th of May, 2022.
