2021/2022 Minimum cut-off mark submitted by Universities/Degree awarding Institutions to JAMB for the 2021/2022 admission exercise.
THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, on Tuesday, 31 August 2021, announced the cancellation of cut-off points for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2021/2022 session. This announcement was made in the policy meeting where decisions and admission cut-off marks are taken. Hence, with this cancellation, every institution will maintain its own minimum score as approved by the policy meeting. Before the policy meeting, universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education sent their various cut-off marks to JAMB (see the list below).
The board’s weekly news bulletin released by the Head, Public Relations and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, approved Tuesday, August 31, for the 2021 policy meeting.

Moreover, the policy meeting which is always chaired by the Minister of Education has in attendance all heads of tertiary institutions. As well as heads of regulatory agencies in the sector. Also, other critical stakeholders, such as chairmen of the committees on education at the lower and upper chambers of the National Assembly.
In that weekly bulletin, Dr. Fabian said,
This meeting kick-starts the admission process into the nation’s tertiary institutions. It will discuss critical issues emanating from the presentation of the Registrar of JAMB, on the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, and Direct Entry applications. In addition, this will set the tone for the 2021/2022 admission exercise.

Finally, with this newly approved institution cut-off marks 2021/2022, all candidates can now proceed to change institutions or courses if they wish! Note that with this new arrangement, universities must not cut below 120 and polytechnics and Colleges of Education, not below 100.
