WAEC 2021 result release. Did you sit for the WASSCE 2021 which took place in August 2021? Good News! The result of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE for School Candidates, has been released. The Head of Nigeria National office of the Council, Mr Patrick Areghan disclosed this on Monday, 22nd of November, 2021. He announced that a total of 1,573,849 candidates registered for the examination. This number he said is from 19,425 recognised secondary schools in the country. And out of that number, 1,560,261 candidates sat for the examination. Do you know that a total of 80.56 per cent of the results have been fully processed, and 19.44 per cent are still being processed due to some issues? This was exactly what he said, promising that the issues will be resolved soon.
On the timely release of the results, he said it took the body 45 days after the completion of the examination to release the result. This is remarkable, he said, despite the myriad of challenges the body faced in some parts of the country. Part of which was the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, he said that for the fact that the examination, which was an international one, took place simultaneously throughout the five-member countries of the Council – The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone, using the same International Timetable, the body need to be commended.
This he said prove to the fact that the body have kept to their promise, in spite of all odds. Contrary to what is being said in other quarters that the release of the results is being delayed. Further stating that the body should be praised rather than being vilified.
THE RELEASED RESULT BREAKDOWN
